How can we help heal this broken world?
To become sound or healthy again is one definition of the word heal. We have the opportunity to support ourselves, others, and even the planet to heal. Starting with ourselves is key, we can be proactive, honest and take baby steps to heal and move past to move forward and live our best life.
For instance, we are all unique and have different gifts to share. Will we be supportive to a friend, do a kindness for someone who has lost a loved one, offer to babysit a friend’s young children to give them a much-needed break, or will we help the planet and pick up litter? Additionally, we can take small, daily actions to make the world a better place. Like smile at a passerby. Or, let someone in front of you in line at the supermarket or in traffic.
Above all else, you are not alone. You can feel supported among those who share similar interests, hobbies, and passions. You can heal by allowing yourself time to simply be. Breathe in, practice mindfulness, soften into simple gratitude. And, know that there are people out there who care about you. You are never alone. There are a multitude of ways to connect with other humans. And, when that fails, you can always visit your local animal shelter. There are plenty of animals who crave cuddling and connection. You can heal.
